Dubstizzle
The biggest dubstep tune of the year so far returns in a Bmore stylee. I have a feeling this is going to be one of many, many mixes. Snoop could be on to an absolute monster with this.

Oh & have these bonus cuts. Because they're classic & your iPod needs them:

She's currently working on new material & will hopefully be touring this year with a release soon to follow. Check her Myspace for details & don't forget where you read it first, cos this girl is the future of UK music!

Doing The Dø
The Dø are a French-Finish duo who make amazing pop tunes that are mostly upbeat & catchy as hell. (Imagine The Knife, but less jaded & you're in the right area)
Their debut album A Mouthful is available now & if you have any sense, you'll purchase it.
The Dø - On My Shoulders (WILDLIFE Remix)
Is This The E.N.D., My Friend?
Black Eyed Peas have returned. Now, before you start with the collective groans, know one thing: this track aint half bad. Like all their best work though, it's ruined by Fergie's frankly uncanny ability to ruin any song merely by opening her mouth. They fare much better on the remixes.
Black Eyed Peas - Boom Boom Pow
Black Eyed Peas - Boom Boom Pow (50 Cent Remix)
Black Eyed Peas - Boom Boom Pow (So Shifty Remix)
Black Eyed Peas - Boom Boom Pow (Kid Cudi Remix)

Anyways, here's some exclusive tracks you won't find anywhere else:
Lady Gaga - Love Game (Party Rock Version Ft. LMFAO)
Lady Gaga - Just Dance (House Mix)
You're welcome :)
They're At It Again
Whilst this doesn't look a patch on any of the recent Judd Apatow offerings, it still looks laugh out loud funny. Bring on the summer blockbusters, eh?

Best Summer Tune Ever?

"If It's Beef..."
There's a list of rappers you really wouldn't want to piss off: Eminem, LL Cool J, 50 Cent, Jay-Z.
Well, you can now add Curtis Khan to that list of battle ready emcees, cos his new tune is doing the rounds & boy does he sound pissed.
He doesn't mention any names, but it's clear that a certain MC has stepped on Mr. Khan's toes. Will the MC in question reply? It could get interesting...
Curtis Khan - Don't Want Me To Continue
Dipset!!
This popped up on my iTunes & I'd forgotten just how good it was. So, I'm sharing it with you.
S.A.S. - Tarantula [Produced by Pendulum]
Full Or?...
While it remains to be seen if Clipse can create a third flawless album about selling crack, one thing is for sure: they do know how to make bangers.
Signed to a new label (and with a new label of their own), the duo are set to release their new album Til The Casket Drops during Summer of this year.
It's not been confirmed whether this is the first single yet, but it's already looking like the third time's a charm.
Clipse - Kinda Like A Big Deal (feat. Kanye West)
Call Of The Wild
At 15, most kids are playing video games, going out & partying for the first time or studying for exams. Not Brandy Mcnee. This 15 year old South-Londoner has already started Wild Style Clothing, a new apparel company set to do big things in '09.
With colourful tees full of unique designs, this young company looks set to give the Bapes & Mishka's of the world a run for their money.
They'll soon be taking orders,so for more info, click here

3 The Hard Way
DJ Screw, born Robert Earl Davis, Jr. (July 20, 1971 – November 16, 2000)[1], was a central figure in the Houston hip hop scene. His innovation included the trademark technique of slowing down the basic tracks of a cut when he remixed it. He was the main music mixer for the huge Screwed Up Click.
Chopped and screwed refers to a technique of remixing hip hop music which developed in the Houston hip hop scene in the 1990s. This is accomplished by slowing the tempo and applying techniques such as skipping beats, record scratching, stop-time, and effecting portions of the music to make a "chopped-up" version of the original.

"They Say That Everything Sounds The Same..."
UK rap is in a state right now. Until Professor Green, Envy, Curtis Kahn or Freezi release their albums later this year, there is no one representing.
The scene is dying, no good tracks, no good videos. What are we to do? The scene needs a saviour.
Cue Mike Skinner. The Streets returns to take his rightful place on the throne. '09 could be a hell of a year, after all.
The Streets - Trust Me
BONUS:
The Streets - Lets Push Things Forward (Remix featuring Roll Deep & Dizzee Rascal)

Slim Punisher
In the most creative decision they have made in some time, XXL Magazine interview Eminem. Whilst that in itself isn't creative (Slim has graced at least 4 covers already), the shoot itself is brilliant.
Eminem dons the costume of Marvel comic character The Punisher. Inside the mag is a limited edition of the comic featuring a guest appearance by Eminem as well. Stroke of genius. More of this please!!
Eminem - Stimulate
Eminem - Invasion (Freestyle)
Eminem - Bad Influence
For Goodness Drake
Countless mixtapes, blog hype & a cult fanbase. Does Drake remind you of anyone? That's right; for all counts Drake could be the next Lil Wayne. No surprise then, to find that Drake is signed to Weezy's Youn Money Records.
His debut album is due out this year & if the material that's been leaked is any indication, he could do even better than his mentor.
Darke - Successful (ft. Trey Songz and Lil Wayne)

Shaggy & Friends- Save A Life
Shaggy along with a all star cast of Jamaican artist came together for a special cause by donating their time and talent to raise money and awareness for the Bustamante Childrens Hospital in Jamaica. Along with this amazing song, a charity concert was held in Jamaica. Check out the web site for further details!

R.I.P. Proof
It's three years since rap lost a real legend. Most of the world will know Proof as the leader of D12 & Eminem's best friend. However, he was more than that.
As a passionate & vocal ambassador for the Detroit rap scene, he earned himself the nickname "The Mayor". He was instrumental in the careers of Eminem, Kid Rock, J Dilla, King Cordy & more.
Unfortunately, his desire to stay located in the city ultimately led to his demise. He will forever be remembered as a pioneer & evidence that with enough hard work & determination, anyone can achieve their dreams.
Proof - DJ Green Lantern Freestyle
Proof - Oil Can Harry (Produced by & featuring Eminem)
Proof - Forgive Me (Featuring 50 Cent)
Word Life
The other day, I had a friend round. Upon hearing the John Cena track that randomly popped up on my iTunes, he exclaimed "yo, he can spit!". WHAT?! People don't know this already?!!
For those not in the loop, Cena is a WWE wrestler, G-Unit affiliate (he co-created the "You Can't See Me" dance with Tony Yayo) & a part time actor.
He released his debut album to critical acclaim (and platinum sales) a few years back.
Get To Know:
John Cena - The Time Is Now (Featuring M.O.P.)
John Cena - Basic Thuganomics (featuring Tha Trademark)
Murs - H.U.S.T.L.E (Remix featuring E-40, Chingo Bling & John Cena)

Do You Like Fish Sticks?
I'm breaking my Kanye West ban, this one time for this: the funniest episode of South Park in ages (which is saying something, they've been on a roll this season).
South Park - Gay Fish (Kanye West Parody)
If you haven't seen it, I won't explain it. Download it now!! It's too funny.
Kanye had this to say about it:
SOUTH PARK MURDERED ME LAST NIGHT AND IT’S PRETTY FUNNY. IT HURTS MY FEELINGS BUT WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT FROM SOUTH PARK! I ACTUALLY HAVE BEEN WORKING ON MY EGO THOUGH. HAVING THE CRAZY EGO IS PLAYED OUT AT THIS POINT IN MY LIFE AND CAREER. I USE TO USE IT TO BUILD UP MY ESTEEM WHEN NOBODY BELIEVED IN ME. NOW THAT PEOPLE DO BELIEVE AND SUPPORT MY MUSIC AND PRODUCTS THE BEST RESPONSE IS THANK YOU INSTEAD OF “I TOLD YOU SO!!!” IT’S COOL TO TALK SHIT WHEN YOU’RE RAPPING BUT NOT IN REAL LIFE. WHEN YOU MEET LITTLE WAYNE IN PERSON HE’S THE NICEST GUY FOR EXAMPLE. I JUST WANNA BE A DOPER PERSON WHICH STARTS WITH ME NOT ALWAYS TELLING PEOPLE HOW DOPE I THINK I AM. I NEED TO JUST GET PAST MYSELF. DROP THE BRAVADO AND JUST MAKE DOPE PRODUCT. EVERYTHING IS NOT THAT SERIOUS. AS LONG AS PEOPLE THINK I ACT LIKE A BITCH THIS TYPE OF SHIT WILL HAPPEN TO ME. I GOT A LONG ROAD AHEAD OF ME TO MAKE PEOPLE BELIEVE I’M NOT ACTUALLY A HUGE DOUCHE BUT I’M UP FOR THE CHALLENGE. I’M SURE THE WRITERS AT SOUTH PARK ARE REALLY NICE PEOPLE IN REAL LIFE. THANKS FOR TAKING THE TIME TO DRAW MY CREW. THAT WAS PRETTY FUNNY ALSO!! I’M SURE THERE’S GRAMMATICAL ERRORS IN THIS… THAT’S HOW YOU KNOW IT’S ME!
BAWSE!!!
I usually wait til Rick Ross's albums are out then listen to the whole thing, rather than listening to leaks. But, everyone had been raving about this song, so I gave it a go.
DAYYUUUMMMM. We could be looking at the album of the year, off the back of this song alone. I've heard this isn't even the best track on the album. Not even close.
Everyone else needs to step their game up (50, Em, that includes you).

When I Say "Huessin", You Say "Shady"
After a long, long wait, the game's best writer returns to own rap. I'm not that crazy about the beat, but my word, how sick is the flow? It's not half as good as the relapse freestyle, but it's still 3 times as good as anything going on in hip-hop right now.
The budget on that video must have been massive as well.

Going Gaga For The Lady
Lady Gaga is the new Madonna. Maybe because she's figured out the original Madonna's secret: throw everything at the wall & something's bound to stick. Madonna has done banging dance hits (Hung Up,Nothing Really Matters), R & B (4 Minutes, Human Nature) & even Rap (American Life, Into The Hollywood Groove).
So, it makes sense that her 2009 understudy would be just as versatile. Lady Gaga's album mixes everything from sappy ballads & Gwen Stefani style pop to club tracks & r&b jams.
There's almost a weird kind of genius to the whole thing.
Lay Gaga - Poker Face (Pete Rock Remix)
Lay Gaga - Poker Face/I Poke Her Face (featuring Kid Cudi, Common & A-Trak)

AHA!!
Don't get me wrong, I love Pharrell & I love Jadakiss, but they just don't work together. They've tried about 4 or 5 times now & apart from the Supercat collaboration, they haven't been very good. Maybe I just don't get it, but the new track hasn't bowled me over either:
Jadakiss - Stress Ya (Featuring Pharrell Williams)
At least there's a new track with Nas. And apart from the fact it is the exact same concept as "Why", It aint half bad.
Jadakiss - What If (Featuring Nas)

...What Part Of The Game Is This?!
So, we all know I think will.i.am is the don. But upon listening to his album Songs About Girls the other day, I noticed something I'd never noticed before.
Unless you've been living under a rock, you would have heard Estelle's massive single American Boy. Anyone who had heard it, would wonder why Will would give away such a great beat & not keep it for himself.
It turns out...he'd already used it. The beat was originally for album cut "Impatient". Can't believe I didn't spot this before.
Which version do you prefer?
will.i.am - Impatient
Estelle - American Boy (Featuring Kanye west)
