Slimm "Cutta" Calhoun - It's Ok (Feat. Andre 3000)
Another new addition to my blog, I just don't know where I'm gonna find the time *Sigh*
Slimm Calhoun was the first signing to Outkast's Aquemini label (later renamed Purple Ribbon Records). His debut album The Skinny, was one of the greatest southern rap records ever & incredibly slept on. If you can get your hands on a copy, do. It's amazing.
This single here, is a great display of what set him apart from his peers & shows just why Andre & Big Boi wanted him as part of the team.
He is (according to Wikipedia) in the studio working on new material & I for one can't wait to hear it.
